# Install on your phone

> Add Chirper to your Home Screen so it opens like an app.

Add Chirper Web to your phone's Home Screen and it opens like a regular app, full screen and without the browser bar.

<Note>
  **On iPhone and iPad, this is required.** Chirper Web only works on iOS after you add it to your Home Screen.

## Installing

        Go to [chirper.app/app](https://chirper.app/app) in **Safari**.

        Tap **Share** in Safari's toolbar. Don't see it? Tap **⋯** first.

      <Step title="Add to Home Screen">
        Scroll down and tap **Add to Home Screen**. If you don't see it, tap **View More** first.

        Open **Chirper** from your Home Screen and sign in with Discord.

      <Step title="Open Chirper in Chrome">
        Go to [chirper.app/app](https://chirper.app/app) in **Chrome**.

      <Step title="Open the menu">
        Tap the **⋮** menu in the top-right corner, then tap **Install and create shortcut**.

      <Step title="Choose Install">
        Chrome asks how you want to add Chirper. Tap **Install**, not **Create shortcut**. Shortcuts open in Chrome, while installing opens Chirper full screen like a regular app.

        Tap **Install** in the **Install app** dialog.

        Open **Chirper** from your Home screen and sign in with Discord.

## After installing

The installed app works the same as [Chirper Web](/apps/chirper-web), with a layout made for phones. Everything syncs live with your server's Discord.

| Where | What's there |
| - | - |
| **Top** | Your avatar, the server name to switch servers, and the **For you** and **Following** feeds. |
| **Bottom bar** | **Home**, **Search**, **+** to create a post, **Notifications**, and **Messages**. |
